About Nashville Support Local Business Directory

Our goal here at Nashville Support Local Business Directory, as it says, is to help support small area businesses by giving them more of an online presence to make contact with local residents. For local residents, it gives them a one-stop internet site to find many of the local businesses that I know many of them would prefer to support. We hope it is a win/win for both. We can certainly relate because we also run a small business and would like to find local clients. In our case, that is small businesses.

Our community resource website is an online list or catalog of businesses that most likely have a “brick and mortar” type business and some type of presence on the internet. We also list internet businesses that may not have a physical building presence.  Historically, directories typically listed entries on people or businesses, and their contact information. These types of directories are still in use today. We certainly hope you like this one.

What a web directory or community resource website includes.

Our web directory or what we like to call a community resource website includes entries about local and regional small businesses, including some information about each business and organized into categories and subcategories. Besides a website link (if they have one), each entry may include the name of the business,  a short description of what that business does, a business photo and an address and telephone number.

Web directories can include a wide variety of businesses or may be limited to just one particular category. We chose to feature a large variety of businesses so you can take advantage of many different areas of your life as you may need them.

There are two ways to find information on the Web. You might try to find some information by doing a search based on entering certain words into a search engine, such as Google or just browsing casually on the internet.

Web directories provide links in a structured list to make browsing easier. Many web directories combine searching and browsing by providing a search engine to search the directory. Unlike search engines, which base results on a database of entries gathered automatically by a web crawler, most web directories are built manually by human editors. Many web directories allow site owners to submit their site for inclusion and have editors review submissions for fitness.

Web directories make it possible for businesses and potential customers or clients to find each other. It simplifies the search process for local residents or area visitors such that they can simply pick the category of the type of business they are interested in finding, looking at the results that show up and selecting the one that they feel best suits their needs. For local businesses, it gives them additional online exposure to a large population of local residents and even people who may only be in the area for a short visit but need their product or service.

We offer business entries that may be listed for free, or by premium paid submission listings (meaning the site owner must pay to have his or her website listed). With the paid version, they get to list a larger variety of information that can help the potential customer make a decision and they may also get upgraded exposure.

We want to thank you for visiting our site whether you are one of the small businesses or a local resident looking for that business. We hope both of you will take advantage of our free service.

Greetings,

Bill Hildebrand
